The NHL playoffs are no place for rookies.
Anaheim Ducks goalie John Gibson is one of the most highly-touted prospects in the NHL, but there's no way he could've prepared for what happened on Saturday night.
Gibson, who is merely 20 years old, got the start in Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Los Angeles Kings. It's his first career playoff start, but he's stopped all 17 shots he's faced so far.
But one particular shot by Kings winger Marian Gaborik completely freaked him out. Gaborik's shot went off the pipe and out of play, but the shot was so hard that Gibson never actually saw it.
COMMENCE PANICKED FLOPPING!
Even super-rookies like Gibson get playoff jitters, apparently. Welcome to the playoffs, John!
