A quick look at NHL injury news on Wednesday morning
Ryan Callahan suffered a second degree MCL sprain. Ouch! This will keep him out of the lineup anywhere from 4 - 6 weeks.
Henrik Zetterberg (back) is traveling with the team but I don't expect him to suit up. He was still suffering back pain from simply sitting down so watch for him to get some practice in first before thinking about inserting him back into your lineup.
Corey Crawford (LBI) is expected to miss 3 weeks. Get Raanta now if he is still available in your league.
Still no word on a return date for Evander Kane. He has been skating recently but no word if he will suit up on Thursday.
Mike Smith (Flu) did not play last night but did suit up as he watched the game from the dressing room.
Joffrey Lupul is expected to play tonight against the Kings after skating on the third line in practice after some rest.
Dougie Hamilton (LBI) will be out anywhere from 2 - 4 weeks.
Loui Eriksson (concussion) was placed on IR yesterday after suffering his second concussion of the year. Nick Johnson was recalled as a result.
