Kick save and a beauty!
Los Angeles Kings defensemen Alec Martinez and Drew Doughty were ridden hard in Game 1 by coach Darryl Sutter, so it's impressive that both were still skating hard when the game went to overtime.
Even more impressive was Martinez's heroic play to save the game for Los Angeles.
The Ducks began the extra frame with a furious attack on Kings goalie Jonathan Quick, culminating in a scramble in front of the net. Quick was pulled out of position, the puck landed on Corey Perry's stick and the game was all but over.
Until Martinez saved the day.

It was easily the play of the game, no matter what the final result turns out to be. It's no wonder why he's become one of the Kings' most important defensemen this season.
